Tales From the Counter - The Weekend Adventurer

You can usually spot them before they even reach the counter.

They walk in with the energy of someone who has already decided this weekend is going to be a good one.

Not chaotic energy.
Not “give me the strongest thing you’ve got” energy.

More like:

"I’m going camping."
"We’re going to a concert."
"It’s game night with friends."

They’re not looking to disappear into the couch.

They’re looking for a little enhancement to the experience.

These customers are fun because they usually arrive with a plan… but not necessarily a strategy.

One person might say:

"I want something that makes music sound amazing."

Another might lean in and whisper like they’re asking for a secret menu item:

"What’s good for being outside?"

And occasionally someone will just shrug and say:

"I just want to laugh a lot."

Now this is where the budtender brain starts working like a playlist curator.

Because the goal isn’t sleep.
It isn’t pain relief.

It’s vibes.

Something uplifting.
Something social.
Something that doesn’t suddenly convince someone the couch is the most interesting object in the room.

These are the moments when you start talking about things like:

• bright citrusy terpenes
• lighter, energetic effects
• products that won’t last six hours longer than the concert

And somewhere in the middle of that conversation, the customer starts picturing the whole weekend in their head.

The hike.
The music.
The backyard hang.

Cannabis becomes less about the product itself and more about the setting it’s about to walk into.

Those are the interactions that remind you this plant shows up in a lot of different ways for a lot of different people.

Sometimes it helps someone sleep.

Sometimes it helps someone manage pain.

And sometimes…

It just helps a good weekend become a really good weekend.
